Consulates in St. Petersburg
The Consulate General of a certain Country protects
rights and interests of the Country, of its nationals,
both individuals and bodies corporate; furthers the
development of commercial, economic, cultural and
scientific relations between Russia and the Country
and otherwise promotes friendly relations between
two countries; exercises full scale of official consular
functions envisaged by the legislation of the Russian
Federation and all principles of international law.
On the territory of Russian Federation Consulates
General are authorized to supply foreign nationals
with a wide range of services and assistance such
as passport replacements, prolongation of passport's
validity, notary and visa services, birth certificates,
absentee voting, and emergency help. Other priority
areas are commercial work and projects supported
by the Country Government. The Consulates General
located in Saint-Petersburg exercise the abovementioned
consular functions on the territory of Saint-Petersburg,
Leningradskaya Oblast, Novgorod, Pskov, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk,
Vologda and Republic of Karelia for the sake of nationals
permanently residing inside its consular district
or temporarily visiting the Russian Federation, Russian
citizens; stateless persons, as well as nationals
of a third state legally visiting the Russian Federation.
