Business Visas may be classified according to the
number of entries to the country: single entry visa
valid for 1 or 3 months, double entry visa valid
for 1 or 3 months, and multiple entry business visas
valid for 3, 6 or 12 months with unlimited entries/exits.

If you have a multiple entry visa valid for 6 or
12 months, please note that it is permitted to stay
in the country for no more than 3 months in a roll,
then you should leave the country for at least one
day and come back if needed. Don't forget, that as
well as any other visa type, business visa should
be registered upon your arrival in 3 days period
in OVIR (it is the organization which deals with
tourists' documents, visas etc) or by any company
that provides this service.
Visa processing fee is not refundable. Please, note
that drop off day is not counted as a business day!
Visa processing starts only after we have collected
all necessary documents. If you apply by mail, please,
allow one more day for processing. Same day or next
day processing is only available if the volume of
work technically permits. Any visa applicant may
be interviewed by a consular officer if necessary.
When you receive your visa please check it for mistakes
(passport number, date of birth, validity) and, if
necessary, return it to the Consulate for corrections.
The Consulate will not be responsible for any mistakes
in the visas, which were not brought to our attention
prior to your departure. Please, note that visas
cannot be changed or extended. If your travel plans
changed after the visa issuance you have to reapply
for a new visa. Processing time, requirements and
fees are subject to change without notice.
To obtain a business visa the following documents
should be submitted to the Consulate:
- A completed visa
application form (one
per person) available at the Consulate
or from travel agencies and visa services.

- A valid passport which should have at least two clear pages for a
visa. Diplomatic passport holders should submit both copies of the passport
pages that contain
personal data of the bearer and original passport.
- One passport size photo of the applicant which should be stapled to
the marked space at the upper right-hand corner of the application form.
- An official letter of invitation from the Russian Ministry of the
Interior, its local offices or the Russian Foreign Ministry, its regional
representatives,
or any other authorized Russian agency. The letter must contain: official
seal and legal address of the agency, document registration number, date
of registration,
signature and name of an authorized official, travel itinerary, dates of
stay, names of persons invited. It is recommended that you find out beforehand
in the
local Russian Embassy (Consulate) whether they accept the faxed copy of
the invitation or they need the original one. If the original invitation
is required
we will
be able to send it to you by means of express mail. This service is at
additional charge established by the express mail service depending on
the destination.
We also can send the invitation by means of telex to you. The time of sending
invitation by telex is included in the processing time of making invitation.

- A cover letter from your company (or from yourself if you are traveling
individually) with information about the traveler, destination, terms
and purpose of the trip.
- For stay exceeding 3 months, or multi entry visa, a HIV test required
